Prayer summed up.

Prayer summed up.

Prayer is like talking to your friend. You are conveying what is on your heart and mind in a casual way. When Jesus followers asked Him to teach them how to pray. He gave them a model to follow. Prayer should be done in a quiet and private place. Then Jesus prayed, The Lords prayer.

The model of the Lords prayer starts by addressing Him properly. God is our Father. A loving, Father who is wanting to be with you. Show Him the respect He deserves. God may have a sense of humor but He is no comedian, nor should He ever be a target of a slanderous joke.

The prayer continues by our commitment to Him. "On earth as it is in heaven." Then that follows by the asking for substance for each and every day, "our daily bread." We need forgiveness for our sins and God is the only source of that forgiveness. In this prayer we ask Him to forgive our sins, and the sins we have committed against others. The prayer is ended by asking for His guidance from temptation from the evil one.

“ Jesus says, this is how you should pray: “‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. ~Matthew 6: 9-13~

To be a more efficient person of prayer is by seeking His child Jesus Christ. This search is where you will gain wisdom and clarity. Both this and more will come at an appointed time. Collect your thoughts find a quiet place and talk to God. Be still there should be no rush. Do not allow your thoughts to convince you of something that is not of God.

In the end God is working everything out for His glory. It is an honor to be able to be used like a pawn piece for His glory. Understand the pawn alone does not go far, and is often scarified for the greater good. But the support a pawn plays in the greater good is undeniably important. To be used by God to glorify His name, what an honor.

God hears your prayers. Of course there will be times when you are struggling through life and think your prayers are not being answered. Be patient, embrace the suck! You can do all this and more by trusting God.

He hears your prayers. They will be answered in a much bigger way than you where thinking. God knows what is on our hearts and minds. Again He is a loving Father and knows what is best for us. What is best for us is not what we think.

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. ~1 Thessalonians 5:16-18~

The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much. ~James 5:16~
