Are the believers of God better off than the none believers?

Are the believers of God better off than the none believers? The people who have no faith are living the in the same world we are, they are also faced with the same dilemmas. 

Followers of God do live a different type of life style. In the back of their heads there is this thought of right and wrong that is always clicking. Ya, for sure there are millions of Gods followers who consciously are out robbing, killing people out of malicious intentions. What about these people? Some of them except that they will go to hell and suffer for eternity. Other my be trapped in a life style praying and doing the only thing they know to get out of it. 

Then there are people who know that God forgives. We live in a world full of danger. Our heads should always be on a swivel, looking both ways and checking behind to make sure no evil is coming to sneak up from behind. Sometimes we are forced to live somewhere where violence is necessary to survive. The people who know that God forgives are still harming other to protect them selves are now living with there actions and how God is going to judge them on their conscious.

This may be a sinful question to ask but...
If God loves us "WHY THIS?" 

Are the believers of God better off than the none believers? I am not a non believer so I will not speak for them but I will answer that question the best way I can. God does love us and God has placed a strength inside of each and everyone of us. Yet we are all different, where are all made in His image blessed with just a little bit of faith that we can use that to find our way to Him. God is here for us to use Him as a life raft. God is our Savior and because us believers know this, Yes we are better off.
